Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe At 3,454 m above sea level, the highest train station in Europe. Take the cogwheel train up for about 2 hours and enjoy the spectacular views of the Alps. Harder Kulm Observatory 1,322m above Interlaken. If you go up the funicular for 10 minutes, you can see Lake Thun, Lake Brienz, and the three Jungfrau peaks (Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau) at a glance. Zermatt & Matterhorn The closest view of the Matterhorn (4,478m). Zermatt is a no-car village! Approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes by train from Interlaken. Use the Swiss Travel Pass.

Gornergrat Observatory, 3,089m above sea level, is the best observatory where you can view the Matterhorn directly. Cozy wooden interior and fireplace. In winter, the Matterhorn is visible from all over town, but in summer, you can see it from the terrace of this restaurant. Raclette + Trockenfleisch + White Wine. Reservation is required as it is a popular restaurant. 5 minutes walk from Zermatt Station.
