You can choose the thickness of the noodles (katamen = hard, barikata = very hard). Additional noodles (kaedama) 200 yen. Self-refill with bean sprouts and onions. Fukuoka Yanagibashi MarketA Fukuoka kitchen with 100 years of history. A seafood paradise with fresh raw fish, uni (sea urchin), and salted pollack roe. Freshly made sashimi seafood rice bowl (kaisen don) is available at a small restaurant inside the market. Good to buy as a gift after tasting pollack roe. Fukusaya pollack roe is the most famous. Tasting available. Refrigerated storage is required, so purchase on the last day is recommended. Kaisendon (seafood rice bowl) Open until 4 p.m. Many stores are closed on Sundays.

Day 2

Dazaifu & return home In the morning, visit Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine and then head to the airport. Dazaifu is 40 minutes by train from Hakata Station. Use Nishitetsu train. The sightseeing train “Dazaifu Liner” has a cute design.

The 6,000 plum trees on the grounds are in full bloom in spring. Next to the main shrine is the legendary Tobiume, the "plum tree that flew in to escape the rain." Be careful of crowds during New Year's and exam season. "Umegaemochi" (plum-shaped rice cake) sold on the grounds is a specialty. Red bean paste inside grilled rice cake. After visiting the shrine, write your wish on the ema (wooden prayer board).
